| Dear all (Communication BA 2, groups az 03, az 04 and az 06)
You need to do the following homework for your next class on 14 October. Focus on Advanced English C.A.E. (by O'Connell): Unit 1: Use your brain pp.10 nr. 1 and 2; pp. 12 nr. 1 a/b, 2, 3, 4 and 5, pp. 20 nr. 1 a/b/c/d and 2; pp. 22 nr. 3 English Vocabulary in Use Advanced (by McCarthy & O'Dell): Unit 7-12: pp. 33 nr. 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4; pp. 35 nr. 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5 and 8.6; pp. 37 nr. 9.1, 9.2. 9.3 and 9.4 Study the two articles entitled "More children should be sent to grammars to tackle 'dire' education system" and "Labour`s school reforms haven`t helped the poor" and answer the questions in the attached Word document. You also need to identify difficult words contained in the article. I will provide you with vocabulary lists (words you are suppose to know), but is also your responsiblity to maintain your own lists. We will look at the above homework during class. We need to schedule an additional class (to make up for the one you have missed on 23 September). My suggestion is to have it during the course of the weekend of 26-28 October 2007. I am open from Friday afternoon until Sunday 13:30. I like to finalize this on the 14th. Regards Neil Cochrane |
